Tools Program

(Approved by membership at the annual Bill Long Foundation Meeting - April 10, 2019)

The Bill Long Foundation Tool Grant program grants an individual or a collective group of Oberlin residents up to $500 to purchase a tool that will help folks make or save money. If a community group needs supplies for a neighborhood project; if an individual needs something to help start a small business; or if folks are in need of tools to help with home repair or lawn maintenance, they may be eligible to receive support from the Bill Long Foundation!

Past recipients have purchased power tools, sewing machines, lawn care equipment, and snowblowers. Other eligible items may include a camera for a small photography business, a vacuum cleaner or other cleaning supplies, or a wheelbarrow for landscaping work.

**All purchased power tools and equipment must be electric**
